Leaking Roofs
A leak can start at damaged tiles, failed flashing, worn coverings, valleys or other parts of the roof. Each one needs assessing properly so the right area gets fixed.

Roof repairs
From leaking roofs and damaged tiles to storm damage and general roof deterioration, Eco Roofing Services provides professional roof repair solutions across Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and London.
Most roofs don't fail all at once. A slipped tile, a split in the leadwork or a tired flat roof covering can let water in long before the rest of the roof is near the end of its life. Our roofing repairs cover leaking roofs, slipped or missing tiles, damaged slates, cracked roof coverings, damaged flashing, chimney-related leaks, storm damage, deteriorating ridge tiles, flat roof leaks and general wear and tear.
Every job starts with a proper look at the roof. The aim is to find where the problem actually begins and how far it has spread, then decide whether a localised repair will sort it or whether larger roofing work is worth considering. Plenty of roof problems can be put right with a targeted repair, and we won't recommend replacing a roof that doesn't need it.
You can see the full range of what we do on our roofing services page.
A leak can start at damaged tiles, failed flashing, worn coverings, valleys or other parts of the roof. Each one needs assessing properly so the right area gets fixed.
When tiles crack, slip or come away, the battens, membrane and timbers underneath are left open to the weather.
Loose, cracked or missing slates can often be repaired or replaced individually, without disturbing the rest of the roof.
Strong winds and heavy rain can lift tiles, move flashing and loosen ridge and roofline components.
Flashing seals the joints around chimneys, walls, valleys and abutments. When it splits or lifts, water finds its way in.
Cracked mortar and loose ridge or verge tiles may need re-bedding, or a modern dry ridge or dry verge system.
Leaks, cracking, blistering and worn coverings are common on flat roofs as they age.
Damaged flashing, deteriorating pointing and the roof areas around a chimney are frequent sources of water ingress.
A damp patch on the ceiling, drips in the loft or water entering the roof after heavy rain all point to a leak, but the stain inside is rarely directly below the fault. Water can run along felt, battens and rafters for some distance before it shows, so the spot where it appears is not always where the roof has failed.
That's why every leaking roof repair starts with a careful inspection of the likely sources: tiles and slates, flashing, valleys, ridge, chimney and any flat roof sections. Once the cause is clear, we explain what needs doing and quote for the repair.

Broken, slipped, missing or cracked tiles and loose or damaged slates are some of the most common pitched roof repairs we carry out. Damaged ridge tiles also come up often, especially where the old mortar bedding has crumbled.
Where the rest of the roof is in suitable condition, individual tiles and slates can usually be replaced without stripping the whole roof. Matching the existing coverings and fixing them securely keeps the repair neat and weathertight.
Find out more about our tiling and slating work, and the dry ridge and dry verge systems that can replace failing mortar.

High winds and driving rain can leave missing or displaced tiles, loose ridge tiles, lifted flashing and leaks that only appear after the storm has passed. Gutters, fascias and other roofline components can be knocked out of place too.
If you notice debris in the garden or new damp inside after bad weather, get in touch with photos if you can. We'll look at what has moved, secure the damaged areas and repair the roof so it's weathertight again. Response times depend on availability, so contact us directly to talk through urgent problems.

Flat roofs tend to show their age through leaks, cracking, worn or damaged coverings and water ingress around the edges or flashing. Many of these issues can be repaired when they're caught early.
We inspect the covering and its edges, find where water is getting in and recommend a repair or, where the covering has failed widely, a replacement. See our flat roofing services for more.

The join between a chimney and the roof is one of the most vulnerable spots on any house. Damaged chimney flashing, deteriorating pointing and split or lifted leadwork can all let water run down inside the stack or into the surrounding roof.
We repair and replace flashing and leadwork around chimneys, valleys and abutments as part of our roof repair work. Read more about our chimney and leadwork services.

Age alone doesn't decide it. An older roof in good order may only need a repair, while a newer one with widespread problems may not. An inspection is the only reliable way to choose the right option. If replacement does make sense, see our full roof replacement service.
You talk to the roofer, not a call centre, from first enquiry to finished job.
If a repair will do the job, we'll say so. Replacement is only suggested when the roof needs it.
You'll know what's wrong, what the repair involves and what happens next.

Common signs include damp patches on ceilings, water in the loft, slipped or missing tiles, cracked slates, loose ridge tiles and lifted flashing. If you spot any of these, it's worth having the roof looked at before the problem spreads.
In many cases, yes. Most leaks come from a specific failure, such as a broken tile, worn flashing or a damaged valley, and can be repaired once the cause has been found.
Yes. Where the rest of the roof is in suitable condition, individual broken, slipped or missing tiles and slates can usually be replaced on their own.
Typical causes include damaged or missing tiles and slates, failed leadwork or flashing, worn valleys, cracked ridge mortar, blocked gutters and deteriorating flat roof coverings.
Usually. Storms often displace tiles, ridge tiles or flashing in one area, and that can be repaired once the damage has been assessed.
It depends on the condition of the whole roof, not just its age. An inspection shows whether a localised repair is enough or whether wider work is worth considering.
